How to change your registered office

Changing your registered office address is simple. It only requires the completion of one form. A company director or secretary needs to complete and sign form AD01.

This can be done manually by post-

Print form AD01
Enter your company number
Enter your company name
Enter your new registered office address
A company director or company secretary should then sign and date the form

Please check that you have entered the company name and number correctly. If there is one character wrong then Companies House will reject the form which will delay the registered office change.

Post the form to one of the following addresses-

Companies registered in England or Wales

Companies House
Crown Way
Cardiff
CF14 3UZ

Companies registered in Scotland (they have the prefix SC on the company number)

Companies House
37 Castle Terrace
Edinburgh
EH1 2EB
